A social club for walks that are shockingly close to a tube. ROVE isn't just a hike, it's a throwback to the days before digital dominated our lives.
We’re rolling out ROVE: the nature junkie’s social club for walks that are shockingly close to a tube. In a city where making eye contact on the Underground makes most want to crawl out of their skin, we dared to look nature in the eye.
We stumbled upon green spaces so hidden, we’re half-convinced they pop in and out of existence like platform 9 ¾. And the people we met? Turns out nature is one big safe space. A confessional booth turned inside out that rapidly turns strangers into friends.
Consider this your prescription for Nature Deficit Disorder, served with a side of adventure and rediscovery. ROVE is about finding places off the beaten track, and hearing stories that haven’t been reduced to a tweet for validation. Forget the superficial. On these walks, we peel back the layers and the labels to find the greatest common ground: our shared humanity. Bring a packed lunch. Then wash it all down with a pint in some of the coolest pubs.
ROVE isn’t just a hike. It’s a throwback to the days before digital dominated our lives, and is curated by the same female-led group that brought you RAW – the immersive listening nights making London’s ears perk up. These human connection walks are the WDN team’s newest weapon in their human connection arsenal, as they wage war on the epidemic of disconnection. With ROVE, you’ll start as strangers but part as a community, united by the glow of getting your nature fix – and having been seen as your real, authentic selves.

PAY WHAT YOU CAN
In the world What Does Not is creating there is no price tag on joy, pleasure, and belonging. Our society seems to have forgotten that quality of life is a birthright. Not a privilege. So releasing free tickets to WDN events has always been a form of revolution for us – not an indication of something thrown together. In fact, no two events are ever the same – even in the same series. They are highly curated and tailored to the host space. So you see, if we’re going to kick the status quo’s ass and tear down barriers to access, a pay-what-you-can ticketing model feels like the only way.
We know that ticket price is a huge barrier for some, so the pay-what-you-can model offers people who can afford to buy a ticket the chance to support others who can’t. Audiences can also support What Does Not at the price level most appropriate for them. Our highest priced tickets offset our free priced tickets and ensure all our events are a vibrant and diverse event that’s accessible to those with varied socio-economic circumstances.
We are completely independent and boot-strapped to preserve the intention and integrity of the event.
